Where has the Summer Gone?
It seems only yesterday that the start of summer and the start of wedding season was upon us, now it seems to have closed it’s shiny doors for another year and the cold and wet are setting in.
Luckily we’ve had one of the best summers we could ask for, with the sun shining on people’s special days and we’ve been lucky enough to be the roaming band for some incredible events.
Most recently the boys travelled north of their usual confines in London to provide an entire weekend of entertainment to the amazing crowds at the St. Leger Festival at Doncaster Racecourse. Days full of fancy frocks, smart looking gentlemen and some very close races. None of the boys had experienced a day at the races before, and here we were experiencing three.
The first of which being ladies day. Birthdays and hen parties were the order of many and we had great fun playing some of the best singalong anthems to groups of 3 to 20+
One thing that didn't come to fruition over the course of the weekend was our luck betting on any races. While those we performed to saw their riches (albeit for most, only a few quid) come in as their horses crossed the line, we found our joy in performing and getting the crowds singing a long. We even managed to get a good snap with a replica of The Trotters three wheeler from Only Fools and Horses.
We had a fantastic time over the weekend and hope the crowds enjoyed us performing as much as we loved performing to them. For some fab live footage of us in action, please do head over to our Facebook page, and if anyone over the three days happens to read this and managed to get some snaps or videos, please tweet them to us @wanderlandband or email us at; info@wanderlandband.co.uk - we'd love to see them!
Much love,
The Wanderland Band x
