American Football at Twickenham? What ever next!
Or so the die hard Rugby fans of Twickenham would argue with you. Placing a foreign sport not so different from that of our own on the Hallowed ground. The main difference...our strength and braun are a lot tougher than that of our American counterparts (this coming from a huge American Football fan)!
The day made extra special for us, being able to play at the home of English rugby. A place that we have watched England countless times on television but never having the chance to go ourselves. But today it had a very big difference, in an American feel greeting us with our walk through what they call a “tailgate”.

Stages of music sounding through the ground next to the Green Giant of Twickenham Stadium, thousands in Jerseys of all different colours from all 32 NFL teams. Dom, our drummer, included bearing his New England Patriots jersey, as this is England and there is no discrimination for what American team you support, perhaps “soccer” fans in this country could take a lesson or two?!
Our schedule for the day was indeed a regimented affair, but this is the NFL and they don’t do half measures. So we spent our day playing to all those fans around the bars of Twickenham, getting them involved in the day with a welcoming song or two. All of us in the roaming band get an enormous kick seeing people enjoy what we do and when they join in with the fun and laughter we always bring, how could you not? There’s no greater feeling than the adrenaline you feel playing music to people that enjoy it and this was certainly no different. The only complaint, we wish it could have lasted longer... (Oh and a ticket for the game!)

Now the nights are drawing in and it's less than 7 weeks until the 'Big C', we're looking forward to being the Christmas Party Band for some fantastic people up and down the country - we do still have some availability, so if you would like us to perform for you this Christmas, pleaase do get in contact and book today - we'd love to play for you!
